re: "Fallen" Angels: NO Such thing.

Disclaimer:   there is no such thing as 'fallen angels' in Scripture.  When you understand what angels are, and what 'Satan'  is, (and is not),  you understand what Scripture says about them.

  • Jude 6   "...LEFT their first estate..." this isn't 'fallen'.
  • Rev. 12:4 - 5   "...his tail drew a third part and cast them down to earth..."
  • Is. 9:12 - 16   "...the prophet that teaches lies, he is of the tail..."
  • 2 Peter 2:1 - 5    "... spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, ...reserved unto judgement..."
  • Rev. 2:9, 24     "...blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not!, (they) are of the synagogue of Satan..."
  • Rev. 12:7 - 9   "...the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world...he was cast out into the earth, ..."
  •  The Genesis story of Adam and Eve generates many questions.  IF a 'devil' or 'satan' "deceived" them: 1). How was Eve "deceived"?  Read the exchange very carefully!  Doesn't James' explanation about temptation, (James 1:14) put blame on the person, giving in to 'his own lusts'? 2). Why is satan's punishment not appropriately commensurate with his/its 'sin'? 3). Who/what is the "seed of the serpent"? Has anyone seen 'snake(people) lately? [Don't we call deceivers' "snakes in the grass" ?  Isn't that an indication of what the Bible actually means?] 4). Is there only one devil?  (cf. John 6:70).  5). If satan's self-defined, (if he could have done so), if his role is so focused on influencing man(kind), why is he(?) only mentioned twice in all the 39 books of the O. T.? [Genesis, in Eden; and Job, first chapter].  No other transgression by any of the characters so prominent in the pre-Messiah history infer, much less actually name satan or (the) devil, as being involved!  6). If sin, and sinners, cannot be in GOD's presence, (He's a consuming fire), how is satan able to be with Job,  when he presents himself before GOD?  7). GOD says in many places, O. T. and N. T., that "HE is GOD alone", that there is "none else beside ME", and other verses that definitively preclude the possibility of any other entity that has any power over man.  All these, and more, tell us that "there is no being (created), that we can blame for our failings, when we all must give account 'for the deeds done in the flesh'.
  • Luke 10:10 - 16   "...and thou, Capernaum, which are exalted to heaven, shalt be thrust down to hell..."
  • Dan. 12:1 - 3  "...many shall shine as stars..."  Are these the 'stars' that were cast down?
  • Deut. 28:9 - 14   "the Lord shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, ,,, the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail,  thou shall be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath;  if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the Lord thy God..."  Is this the 'tail' that did the 'casting down"?
  • Deut. 4:1 - 10  (to Israel:)  "only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen..."
  • Dan. 8:9- 13   "...the sacrifice and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot..."
  • Zech. 14:1 - 7  'all nations gathered against Jerusalem, to trod under foot....'
  • Rev. 11:1 - 2   'Holy city, trodden under foot 42 months...'
  • Dan. 7:17 - 22  'a horn made war with the saints'
  • Amos 5: ALL   'wormwood'  (NOT a natural disaster on the bodies of water of the earth).
  • Amos 8: 9 - E  '(evil) shall fall and shall never rise up again'
  • Ps. 103:17 - E "...bless the Lord all ye his angels, who do his will..."  (contradicts man's definition of angels' purpose and (cap-)abilities).  a). If GOD created them to obey HIM, how can they not (obey Him)?  Man alone has the option,  or choice, to obey, or not.  b). According to Gen. 1,  man is the only creature/creation GOD 'breathed' into, imparting to him a "free will". How, then, can any other creation, (i.e., angels),  disobey GOD?  c). if angels were created, there's no Biblical mention of when. Wouldn’t that be important for mankind to know?  d). Why would GOD 'create' anything whose sole purpose, whose Job#1, was to destroy what HE, (GOD), created?  e).  Ultimately, the idea that GOD would, (make an antagonist, to fight HIM for every soul,  for whom CHRIST died!), impunes who GOD IS!   So, NO!  There is no such being we can use as a scapegoat.
  • Ps. 104:  ALL   '...let the sinners be consumed off the earth...'
  • Ps. 94: ALL  Vengeance belongs to the Lord.
