Notes,Observations
  • (re: Prov. 30:9) "...lest I be poor, steal and take the name of my GOD in vain."   What does this mean, 'taking the name of God in vain'?  Why is that as bad as stealing, and being poor?  What does it mean to be 'poor'?    Nothing to do with money, or using God's name in speaking!
  • (re: Luke 21:10)  "...desolation is nigh", is a warning about the 'abomination of desolation'!

    • Matt. 6:1 - 7
  • Prov. 25:7;
    • Luke 14:7 - 11
  • Prov. 25:7 - E
Notes: interesting correlations to Scripture and today's 'reality'.

  • (re: Is. 5 passage):  Men rejecting God's law, His TRUTH, delve into perversion, and an 'inconvenient reality.  This will be 'rewarded'.
  • (re: Prov. 23, Mark 7, James 1):  Man who doesn't realize his depravity, (a) should not be associated with;  (b) deceives himself; (c) will recognize his sin on judgment day.  Truth says God knows the man, by his deeds, not by his own image he thinks he sees;  God knows the thoughts and intents and judges those, not by his 'profession', his words.
  • (re: Prov. 23:9):  Don't waste your 'logic' you debating 'skills, you Godly wisdom, with one who will not hear;  "...don't cast your pearls before swine..."
  • (re: Prov. 23:23):  "BUY: truth, wisdom, instruction, & understanding".  This is the pearl of great price, (from the Gospels' parables).
  • (re: Prov. 25:26): This is an indictment against Israel, for sure, but also, against all those who claim to be 'Christians", but are not!  "a righteous man who falls at the feet of the evil people, is like a polluted steam, oa poisonous well: of no use to anyone, not beneficial. Sadly, our nation, (the world, even), has not learned this lesson, choosing rather, to call themselves 'Christians" but being false prophets, liars, and murderers.  This is the state of America because the 'pastors' don't stand up to the lies currently pervading the minds of those we entrust to teach our young, or to teach it in their churches, making their congregations aware of the evil imaginations being accepted as 'the new reality'.

Waiting for the next event: 9Nov. 2022

  • Jer. 10: ALL
  • Zech. 8: ALL
  • Is. 60: 1 - 5
    • Rev. 13:1 - 4
  • Is. 60: 5 - 14

    • Rev. 21: 22 - E
    • Rev. 22: ALL
The topic tonight was Scriptural indications of what catastrophic event is on the horizon.  Zech. 8:10 prophesies that "...every man's hand will be against his neighbor..."  The divisive mentality of, most notably, American society,  (because that's where we live),  where every topic erupts into heated, and sometimes violent disagreements. Our economy, our industry, our 'civility' has been 'doctored' to make what once was the best civilization the world has known, into a copy of the worst. We may not be there yet, but, there is no turning away from that end result. As many as there be of our society that have become reprobate regarding life, (whether simple arguments ending in gunfire, or the murder of innocent unborn lives), the evil desires of so many who want to believe they have the right to murder, for whatever reason, is indication of that judgement. Reprobate! having no conscience or fear of eternal judgement.  This study, using the dereliction of the nation of Israel against their calling, their purpose, and the ensuing judgement God meted, is meting, and will mete on them, for the last 2000 years, shows us that:  THERE IS A GOD!  HIS LAWS ARE STEADFAST AND UNDENIABLE. Mankind has been given every opportunity to repent, to seek His truth, and become the intended object first identified in Genesis 1:26, "...let Us make man..." ,  to work 'with Him' to make each soul into the creature that can live in His presence, and can call Him their 'FATHER', their abba,   who would walk among us/them.
Israel abdicated their role; Gentiles were given the opportunity to 'hear the gospel from the Apostles, and upon obedience, to be granted the 'power to become sons of God, that new 'creation'.

Israel's judgement: 'He came to his own', and they rejected Him

    • Jer. 25:8 - E
  • Zech. 1:14 - 16
    • Joel 2:12 - E

  • Ps. 102: ALL
Notes, relevant references:
  • (re: Jer. 25:10) '...the voice of the bride, and the voice of the bridegroom shall no more be heard in Jerusalem', repeats  Jer. 7:34;
  • (re: Jer. 25:31);  HE has a controversy with ALL the nations;  America, whose government has biblical foundations for liberty, etc., is not the ultimate government;  Is. 9:6:  "the government will be upon HIS shoulders..."
  • (re: Joel 2:13)  'rend your hearts, not your garments...' is an admonition to don't do lip-service; don't "virtue-signal";  instead, be and do what you ought, Israel. Repent! Be converted! Forsake your wicked, cruel, evil ways.
  • (re: Is. 44:9) '...you shall be your won witnesses...' Your gods you made can do nothing; they neither speak, hear, or move;  You will, one day, bow your knee, and confess that these creatures, creations from your imagination,  are not God, and will know God is GOD.

Marks; of the beast or ?? 12 Oct. 2022

  •  Ezek. 8:1 - E
    • Jer. 7:22 - E
  • Ezek.  9: ALL
  • Rev. 7: ALL
  • Jer. 16:14 - E
(aside) Notes.
(re:) Jer. 7:34:  [...talking to Israel...]  the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride. will no longer be heard in Jerusalem...!  the "BRIDE" is Israel, Not the church!  Israel was betrothed, to God, at Sinai; they never remained 'chaste' but went and played the harlot with all the nations 'round about her.  This is evident in all the books of the prophets, to say nothing of some of Paul's letters, and the verbal castigation Jesus gave to the religious leaders that accosted him every day, in the streets and in the synagogue.
(cf:   Matt. 23  & Luke 11).

  • Zech. 2: ALL
  • Rev. 21: all
Notes, related thoughts and
  • (re: Matt. 25):  a comparison of 'TAKEN' and the 5 foolish virgins:  it's not good to be 'taken'!  (notice, the 5 wise virgins were not 'taken';  they went into the chamber!)
  • (re: Haggai ch. 1)  Israel, in all their labors, their 'religion', was for naught.  They built the temple, 'half-heartedly', without the dedication to build it with reverence for its function.  It couldn't compare to the first temple,  (tabenacle), because those (first) builders were diligent and reverent for the 'holiness' of what they built.
  • (re: Heb. 3:7-15): do not harden your heart: If you are not diligent, 24/7 in your life, you lose the care and concern for being diligent. This leads to not appreciating the sacrifice Christ gave; cheapens that sacrifice;  and takes the value away from the precious gift you were promised, if you remain steadfast. It also dimishes God's 'name', His holiness, HIs righteousness, His justness.

  • (re:) Lev. 20:4  Those who don't reprimand or ignore, ('turn their eyes from ...), what is scripturally 'evil' are as guilty as the one committing the evil.
  • (re:) Luke 16:25: The 'evil' that Lazarus experienced was not 'evil acts' committed to him; that evil was the events and circumstances he endured in his life,  as opposed to the 'good' (life) the rich man experienced.
  • (re:)  Prov. 15:12:  someone who detests, scorns, TRUTH, and God's Word, hates anyone who reprimands him; therefore, he will never seek advice or counsel of that kind of (righteous) person.
  • (re:) Gal 1:8-9:  (to those whom Paul preached the Gospel, or, who had heard it:), Stick to the pure Word of God,  Refute all discrepancies to what you originally heard; they are lies, perversions of Truth.  v.9 repeats this; IT'S THAT IMPORTANT!
  • (re:) Ezek. 2: 5-8:  Odd, that nowhere is the prophet warned about any physical attacks; yet we know they happened.  He is only admonished about the 'words' from the "briars and thorns" and the words of the "scorpions"  he was sent to, and to tell what God says, and has said.
  • (re:) 2 Cor. 14:32:  "The spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets"  Suspect anyone who says otherwise, (i.e., 'that God is speaking to them, for you!),  of 'having an ulterior motive!'
    • cf:  Heb. 1:1 - 2:  'God, who used to speak through His prophets to our ancestors, has now spoken to us, by Christ. (who is the WORD of GOD).

Proverbs, episode #5 9/11/2022

  •  Proverbs 9: ALL
  • Prov. 10: ALL
    • Ps. 10: ALL
    • Ps. 12:  ALL

    • Ps. 52:  ALL
    • Ps. 73: ALL
    • 1 John 1:1 - 4
    • 1 John 2: 15 - E

Notes and references from today's study:
  • the prevalent idea throughout these passages, identifies the real, Biblical truth about the 'popular Christian' theology known as: being 'left- behind'.  It is the opposite of what that majority believes.
  • (re Ps. 73:19):  (their) evil tongue walks through the earth;  Lies, murderous doctrines, that steal the truth from innocent souls, is EVERYWHERE. As with the revelation recently, in a media resource, a common innate human need,  'to be a part of a group' has become more evident in society; those who know God's truth, have His wisdom and understanding, are becoming fewer, while the need to be vocal and 'push back against religion's lies is becoming more necessary. Evil will be 'rewarded' justly; those who do truth will also get a just reward.  The "meek will inherit the earth. "

12 Jan. 2022: quick study about difference between "sacrifice" and "Qorban"

  • Rom. 12:1-2
  • Deut. 12:10 - 12
  • 1 Cor. 3:16 - 18
  • Deut. 12:13 - 17, 28 - E
  • Is. 1:11 - 17
  • Luke 11:37 - 52
What was the original intent for a sacrifice, (or an offering)?
Primarily. if a person committed something wrong, (not worthy of death!), a sacrifice was required from the offender, so that he/she would understand there was a penalty; by Torah, this penalty had to be pure, perfect, the best of the flock/herd, etc., meaning, "it had to 'cost' something of value, a life, of the best of that person's possessions.
More than that, it was a means to breach the gulf, the wall of separation between a HOLY GOD and one of his children.  The sacrifice was intended to be a means to grant the offender access back into the relationship with their (heavenly) Father.

What Israel did, which gave the pattern for the rest of the world's Christian religions to follow, was to turn that opportunity into a chore, into a checkbox of 'what I must do when I err', ignoring the reason why it was required and what it was supposed to repair.  Along with religion turning GOD into a 'chore-boy', or a 'friend' who doesn't care as long as I 'check the boxes', they have forgotten that GOD sees and knows the deepest thoughts and intents of everyone's heart.

Regardless how many 'boxes' each person 'checks off', there will be millions who, after they have taken their last breath, will hear "Depart from me, I never knew you".
