• (re: 1 Cor. 1:18)  For those who don't 'believe Christ', the Gospel is foolish;  BUT, if you believe, (i.e.,  have FAITH), if you believe the Gospel Peter preached, (and you obey it, in FAITH), THAT IS 'SALVATION".  a sinner must believe, not just that Christ paid the price, but that you have to obey the pattern of death burial, and resurrection message and make it a part of your life, (repent, be baptized, and walk 'in Christ'), then that is your FAITH.
• (re: Jude 6)  IF the angels that  '...kept not their first estate were locked in chains of darkness', how are they able to accomplish anything man attributes to them?
• (re: Jude 20)  another Apostle/disciple who knows that each 'believer' is responsible for making the new man into the likeness of the pattern of Chirst.  This is in conjunction with 2 Peter 1:3...
• (re: 2 Peter 1:3)  "His divine power has given to us, ALL THINGS that lead to life and godliness..."  It's up to us what we do with that.  This contradicts the 'religious' idea that Christ's death === salvation;  'faith alone' or 'grace alone' gospel'; meaning, anything we do is a 'work'.   NOPE!
• (re: Gal. 5:18-24)  Further contradictions to 'religion': that we are sinners, AND 'saved'.  IF we have the spirit of Christ, we are (a) not under the law; and (b) no longer subject to the bondage of sin. If we are led by the spirit, the 'revolving door' mentality is a lie.  "now I am saved, now I'm a sinner, etc...."  Scripture is clear, 'sons' are not 'sinners'.
  
• (re: 1 Cor. 15:36)  Paul uses the analogy, a continuation from his Roman letter, ch. 6, that as a seed that is sown needs to die, before it grows into the plant it should be, so too, baptism is a burial/death of the shell of the new life sown into our hearts by the spirit, growing into a son of GOD, a 'joint-heir' with Christ.

 A resurgence of a discussion between our congregation and former members who have 'strayed' from the truth.  :(  Set up: reading from an email received, and subsequent responses back and forth.  The prime focus of the discussion was based on a YouTube video was offered to 'explain an interpretation,  a man's understanding', not found in God's word.  Understanding comes from the Word of God, alone.
