Rehashing the 'rapture', end times, Wrath of GOD, 'taken' vs 'left' 25Feb24

 A resurgence of a discussion between our congregation and former members who have 'strayed' from the truth.  :(  Set up: reading from an email received, and subsequent responses back and forth.  The prime focus of the discussion was based on a YouTube video was offered to 'explain an interpretation,  a man's understanding', not found in God's word.  Understanding comes from the Word of God, alone.

• 1 Cor. 1: 10 - 27   "that we should be of one mind..."
• Gal. 1:6 - 10  'encouragement to be steadfast in the truth we received at the beginning.

focusing on the word 'tribulation'...

• Rom. 8:35 - E   Does tribulation separate believers from Christ?  NO, (it shouldn't).
• 2 Cor. 1 :1 - 7  Comfort in being persecuted, in tribulation!  Why?
• 2 Cor. 2:1 - 7 The Apostles were in tribulation, FROM Jews!
• 1 Thess. 3:  ALL "Glory in tribulation!!!  What?
• Matt. 24:1 - 22   "...the elect's sake..."
• Is. 65:1 - 15   (v. 9)  "mine elect..."  == Israel!
• Matt. 24:22 - 30  "...those days..." the antichrist...
• 1 John 2:15 - E   "...many antichrists, even now..."
• (back to tribulation:) Dan. 9:8 - 12  (tribulation written in books of Moses)
• Deut. 28:1 - 4, 9 - 16, 33 - 35
• Is. 1:1 - 8
• Deut. 28:36 - 39, 45 - 53    Great tribulation, the Abomination of desolation, prophesied here refers to the invasion of Jerusalem, (and Masada!),  by Roman armies, where they found the people turned cannibal for lack of food during the siege.
