Notes, observations, and related verses
- (re: ) Prov 15:8: the sacrifices of evildoers are scorned.
- (re:) Lev. 20:4 Those who don't reprimand or ignore, ('turn their eyes from ...), what is scripturally 'evil' are as guilty as the one committing the evil.
- (re:) Luke 16:25: The 'evil' that Lazarus experienced was not 'evil acts' committed to him; that evil was the events and circumstances he endured in his life, as opposed to the 'good' (life) the rich man experienced.
- (re:) Prov. 15:12: someone who detests, scorns, TRUTH, and God's Word, hates anyone who reprimands him; therefore, he will never seek advice or counsel of that kind of (righteous) person.
- (re:) Gal 1:8-9: (to those whom Paul preached the Gospel, or, who had heard it:), Stick to the pure Word of God, Refute all discrepancies to what you originally heard; they are lies, perversions of Truth. v.9 repeats this; IT'S THAT IMPORTANT!
- (re:) Ezek. 2: 5-8: Odd, that nowhere is the prophet warned about any physical attacks; yet we know they happened. He is only admonished about the 'words' from the "briars and thorns" and the words of the "scorpions" he was sent to, and to tell what God says, and has said.
- (re:) 2 Cor. 14:32: "The spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets" Suspect anyone who says otherwise, (i.e., 'that God is speaking to them, for you!), of 'having an ulterior motive!'
- cf: Heb. 1:1 - 2: 'God, who used to speak through His prophets to our ancestors, has now spoken to us, by Christ. (who is the WORD of GOD).
